We were at the taxi when this one was taken. On our way to the airport. There was flood everywhere.

Our flight was cancelled.

Love Quotes

Valentine is coming and I wanted to share the love quotes...

--------

Try to live life
with the least I'm SORRY..
that means thinking before
saying or doing anything,

"it's always better
not to hurt anyone than
apologize after you've hurt them

Do you know
what's the most painful thing in the world?

Is when you both love each other
and yet couldn't patch things up..

where's the pain?..

it's when one decided to end it up
and the other has no choice than to give up

"they say you'd know
you miss someone..

when it's them you think of..
when your alone..

but i say you truly miss someone,
if it's them you're looking for
and thinking about,

even if your with a happy crowd.."

-----

as I grow old,
my realizations about life become deeper..

problems get bigger...

situations become more
complicated..

sometimes, i wish i could go back..

back to the time..

when the only man in my life
was my dad..

my only best friend was
my mom..

and any pain could be healed
by just a band aid and a lollipop.."

-------

never let someone hurt you twice
giving him a 2nd chance is exposing
yourself to be hurt again..

if had done it once its bound to happen again...

why?

coz you've gave him the idea
that no matter how much he'll hurt you,
you'd still accept him all over again
giving him the power to hurt you again..

once is enough to learn..

--------

Sometimes, we want to say this to someone:

"you suck, you're insensitive,
inconsiderate, selfish, cruel, thoughtless
mean person who doesn't deserve to be cared for
by a person like me..

i i wish you could just disappear
so you couldn't hurt me anymore.."

but when we open our mouths
to say it,
it comes out a little softer like:

"I LOVE YOU"

At the park

We had a walk this afternoon around the area and let Gareth spend time at the park. He is curious about the place so we are teaching him to enjoy it. We also need to take this chance of walking every afternoon while we are not so busy in our work yet. We need to exercise and we are hoping to lose weight.

The Effects

What is happening?

When I woke up and checked my email, I received a mail that my task is ended. This is so frustrating to me. I’ve been working for them for a year and I can’t believe that they are shutting down. My client explains that this is because of economic crisis. Since January started, there are two clients ended my task and it is really affecting us. Just today I don’t know where to get extra money just for us to survive for the rest of the week. I hope I will get new work soon.

I am fixing my profile now and start applying for a new job and I need to adjust my rate. Maybe lower than my current rate just to get a new job. In this difficult time I know I need to adjust and looking forward that everything will be better soon.

Yesterday, I talked to my husband, what if we will try our luck abroad. We agreed to try but when I checked the current earnings of my friends abroad we are thinking if it is really worth it.

I watched News and recession are everywhere, from U.S to U.K. and I pray that it will be better soon.

I am still positive that soon everything will be okay.

Why You Are Not Rich?

Here are 10 more possible reasons you aren't rich:

You care what your car looks like: A car is a means of transportation to get from one place to another, but many people don't view it that way. Instead, they consider it a reflection of themselves and spend money every two years or so to impress others instead of driving the car for its entire useful life and investing the money saved.

You feel entitlement: If you believe you deserve to live a certain lifestyle, have certain things and spend a certain amount before you have earned to live that way, you will have to borrow money. That large chunk of debt will keep you from building wealth.

You lack diversification: There is a reason one of the oldest pieces of financial advice is to not keep all your eggs in a single basket. Having a diversified investment portfolio makes it much less likely that wealth will suddenly disappear.

You started too late: The magic of compound interest works best over long periods of time. If you find you're always saying there will be time to save and invest in a couple more years, you'll wake up one day to find retirement is just around the corner and there is still nothing in your retirement account.

You don't do what you enjoy: While your job doesn't necessarily need to be your dream job, you need to enjoy it. If you choose a job you don't like just for the money, you'll likely spend all that extra cash trying to relieve the stress of doing work you hate.

You don't like to learn: You may have assumed that once you graduated from college, there was no need to study or learn. That attitude might be enough to get you your first job or keep you employed, but it will never make you rich. A willingness to learn to improve your career and finances are essential if you want to eventually become wealthy.

You buy things you don't use: Take a look around your house, in the closets, basement, attic and garage and see if there are a lot of things you haven't used in the past year. If there are, chances are that all those things you purchased were wasted money that could have been used to increase your net worth.

You don't understand value: You buy things for any number of reasons besides the value that the purchase brings to you. This is not limited to those who feel the need to buy the most expensive items, but can also apply to those who always purchase the cheapest goods. Rarely are either the best value, and it's only when you learn to purchase good value that you have money left over to invest for your future
Your house is too big: When you buy a house that is bigger than you can afford or need, you end up spending extra money on longer debt payments, increased taxes, higher upkeep and more things to fill it. Some people will try to argue that the increased value of the house makes it a good investment, but the truth is that unless you are willing to downgrade your living standards, which most people are not, it will never be a liquid asset or money that you can ever use and enjoy.

You fail to take advantage of opportunities: There has probably been more than one occasion where you heard about someone who has made it big and thought to yourself, "I could have thought of that." There are plenty of opportunities if you have the will and determination to keep your eyes open.

Craving!

My favorite chocolate is Ferrero Rocher and everytime I am not feeling good I wanted a box of ferrero rocher.

I miss it so much since I am on diet and I hope that this weekend I can enjoy at least a Box!

Tummy Flattening Techniques

Since I gave birth it is always my concern on how to lose 6 inches in my tummy area. Although I lost some but still it's not enough. Since November I stop eating meat and it helps a lot but since holiday came I got tempted again. So now we are back for our no meat diet again and I am looking forward that this time I will lose 6 inches. I hope in 3 months time I can achieve it.

Here is also a great techniques and I am excited to try it:

Who does not desire a flat tummy? This is every woman dream, to be in the eye of admiration as far as her beauty is concerned. And a good body is an irresistible one. After all those bulges do make the body look not too good. With a flat tummy you could wear anything and yet have roving eyes set on you But then, a flat tummy comes at a price. How much?

That depends on how much you are willing to spend. While there are methods that cost money, there are others that do not even cost a dime but it dose cost you time and effort. Actually flattening the tummy is not as difficult as maintaining a flat tummy.

Whether you choose to pay for a flat tummy with processes like liposuction or purchase one of those abdominal exercise gadgets, or enroll at a gym or aerobic class. Or alternatively you simply exercise at home; no matter what you do, do not stop doing it. The best home tummy flattening exercise is what is known as stomach crunches. There are a couple of variations in this form of exercise. Firstly stomach crunches are divided into upper abdominal crunches and lower abdominal crunches. There are no side effects as far as stomach crunches in general is concerned except for while exercising you should be careful not to injure your back. Once you understand the right technique, you could do up to five hundred crunches a day, which is the maximum. On the minimum end of the scale, 50—100 stomach crunches a day, supplemented with a ten minute brisk walk will flatten the tummy. What must be noted is that you must do as many crunches as your body is comfortable doing, with consistency. Other wise after flattening, come inflating if maintenance is not taken into account.

Lets be Positive

After the Obama inauguration I know that my clients will get me busy again. Because of US economic fall down I lost two clients and it is really affecting my income. I am praying that the US economy will be back to normal because I can't deny it that it is affecting a freelancer like me. Most of my clients are from US and if they closes their business of course it will affect my finances.

I am very positive that everything will be back to normal soon. I am looking forward of getting more work this coming months and start reaching our dreams.

Obama

I am excited for the great event. I am watching it the whole day the Pre Inauguration of Obama and I can't wait for it tomorrow. As of now I don't have enough task from my clients because of US holiday and I know that like me they are also excited for this event.

The first time I saw Obama on TV when he was campaigning I knew he can make it. Since then I never stop following him in every CNN reports. I wish I can fly to US to witness the event.

During the inauguration I know that I will stop whatever I'm doing and focus on him alone. Yes... I am inlove! hahahaha

The Feng Shui Fashion Guide Tips

Feng shui practitioners often rely on color to achieve certain results. According to the experts, earth colors are favorable for kitchens, while pastels are better for play rooms and art studios. Vibrant hues are excellent for gathering spaces, while neutrals are ideal for bathrooms. And while the prospect of repainting your entire house may be a daunting one, you can still reap the benefits of color through your wardrobe. Consult this guide whenever you’'d like a greater sense of control over your environment. Whether you’'re looking for love, seeking employment, or trying to chill out, color can meet your needs!

Red --– This is the ideal color to draw attention to yourself. Wear red if you'’re going on an audition, showing off your creative work, or want to set yourself apart from the crowd. Avoid this color if you’'re suffering from nervousness.

Orange -- – A fusion of passionate red and optimistic yellow, orange represents unity. Wear this color when you are trying to promote harmony among warring colleagues or relatives. Stay away from this color when you want to distinguish yourself from others.

Yellow -- – The brighter the shade of yellow, the cheerier it seems. Mellow, earthy tones convey stability and steadiness. Wear this color when you want to promote clarity; it'’s ideal for making decisions. Avoid yellow when you’'re tired, as it is draining.

Green -- – Green is the color of growth and development. Therefore, it’'s an ideal shade to wear when taking classes and acquiring skills. It’'s also good to motivate people to get out of a rut. Because it is stimulating, you should avoid it when you'’re feeling restless.

Blue -- – Blue is associated with introspection and tranquility. This color helps people loosen up and speak their minds, so it’s ideal for promoting communication. Stay away from blue, though, when you are depressed, because it can compound your depression.

Purple -- – This regal color is associated with regality and spirituality. It’'s an ideal shade to wear when you'’re seeking your life’'s purpose. Avoid purple when you are having trouble putting your plans into action, because it inhibits practicality.

Pink –-- Soothing and nurturing, pink is a great color for putting people at ease. This color also dissipates anger, so it’'s a great choice when you want to kiss and make up. Avoid pink if you want to be seen as decisive and bold, however, as it conveys softness.

Gray -- – Gray invokes balance and safety, and should be worn when things are spiraling out of control. You should also sport this color when you want to avoid the chopping block. Stay away from gray when you are seeking a promotion or want to be noticed.

Brown -- – Whenever you feel scared or insecure, wear brown. This grounding color has an effect that is most comforting. Wear it when you want others to put their faith in you. Avoid brown, however, when you are in a rut or dealing with stubborn people.

Black -- – Black conveys a sense of depth and strength that is most formidable. Wear this color when you want to command authority or exude mystery. Stay away from black, however, if people question your motives or if you want to be treated as an equal.

White -- – Nothing inspires trust like the color white. Wear this color when you want to appear detailed, efficient and faultless. Keep away from white when you want to convey a relaxed, easygoing image. White can also promote anxiety, so use it carefully.

Metallics --– Shiny colors like gold, bronze, copper and silver inspire creativity. There are no better colors to wear when you are engaged in an artistic project of some kind. Metallics make people critical and discerning, so avoid them if you'’re feeling sensitive.

Drive Thru

I am watching Lifestyle Network today and got surprised that in Las Vegas you will get married in a Drive Thru way. It's like ordering food! Well, personally I don't really like it. For me it should be in a chapel or church and with families and friends around me. I am just happy that a Drive Thru Marriage is not acceptable here in Philippines. In this way I appreciate the values of Filipinos more. I hope that we will keep our values.

Inner Thoughts

July 14, 1979, I was born here in CDO. I am the eldest daughter and granddaughter in my mother side. It took 6 years before my parents conceived me and because of that I am the favorite of my lola and titos and titas. When I was a kid I always dream to be successful. To go away in this place because I believe that my success is not belong here.

After graduating elementary, I am a full scholar in Cebu and so I have to leave my comfort zone. At first it was hard because I was used of being surrounded by people who loves me and give me so much attention but I know I have to stand alone. After finishing high school I continue my college education in Laguna and since then I seldom visited CDO. I miss everyone but I have no choice but to f0llow my dreams.

Eversince I left, I know in my heart that I will be coming back in this place but not the childish me but a new me. Some of them thought that I change a lot. I carry myself well from being nothing. Of course I don't forget them.. they are my inspiration. They love me even more because despite of everything I always end up staying with them.

There are times that I wanted to build a house here where we can settle but I know this is not the right time. Or.... this is not the right place for me to stay for good. I love here but I can't stay long. There are part of me wanted to stay but still I can't continue to live a life here. I know my heart belongs somewhere...

But this place is my home.... na kapag napagod na ako alam ko may uuwian din ako but for now... let me continue my journey.

Until next time...

Lazy Day

Last night after dinner we decided to go back to a coffee shop near in our hotel because they offer free internet. I order a coffee while my husband order a san mig light. Two men came with big camera. I love the camera he own. He keeps on checking his cam then suddenly talk to us. He first smile to Gareth and told us that we have a cute baby. He is speaking bisaya and of course I understand him but I can't reply a straight bisaya so I decided to speak in tagalog. That is really my problem because I can't speak straight bisaya with strangers but with my cousins I can speak bisaya but so barok (they are laughing at me) but at least I am trying. So para hindi maging barok nagtagalog na lang ako baka matawa pa sila sa bisaya ko.

Anyway, the man started taking Gareth pictures but Gareth is shy type. He don't want strangers to take him pictures and he shouted but the man continue his work. I just let the man do his work.. its his passion and deep inside of me I am dreaming of owning a camera like he own. :) The man gave me his calling card and decided to have him during Gareth 3rd Birthday this November when we come back.
Today we decided to stay in our hotel since it's our last day here and tomorrow afternoon is our flight. I give Gareth time to rest and while I am writing this entry he is beside me sleeping. My husband is not here because he will be spending his tuesday with friends.

So here I am enjoying my time alone with lanzones and mangoes.

Bad Weather

Since yesterday the weather here in CDO is not good. There is flood everywhere. I visit my Aunt and they are affected while my other aunt is affected by landslide. It is scary but all of them are safe.

I visit my sick Uncle Danny and I am glad that he is doing well now. I am praying for his fast recovery.

We will be leaving here in CDO this coming wednesday and I hope the weather is fine.

Cagayan de Oro Update

It's a busy week. We attended wedding and meet my relatives and spend more time with them. It's nice to be with them again. I really miss them. I wanted to try white water rafting but the river is not that clean because of the flood effect last week and I don't have a budget for it anymore. :(

Although I am on a vacation I still have to do my work. I need to.

My cough is bothering me and last night I tried Lagundi Syrup and I hope it will be better soon.

Ready to Go...

I wish to have a house exactly like this.

It's 2a.m. and I'm done packing our bags.

Goodnight!!

Major Attack

Last night I had my asthma major attack. My husband panicked and want me to stay in the hospital but I refused because we will be traveling soon and I don't want to stay in the hospital before leaving.

I just take my medicine and pray. When I woke up this morning, there is a development and hoping that I'll be perfectly fine soon.

And we thought that buying a nebulizer will save us from worries.

Cold New Year

Until today we don't have a chance of going out because all of us are sick. We have colds and cough. Gareth has fever. It is so cold and this is the first time that we don't turn on our electric fan and I wish we have heater. I can 't leave without cold air but for the first time I surrender.

I am also worried because I don't have new task yet from my clients. I miss being a busy mom.

For 2009 I am looking forward for work and business success. I will be opening a new business soon.

2009 is a year for saving and investing for us.
