Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Everyone!!

I wish my readers all the best for 2009.

I don't have a new year resolution this time. I will be listing my plans for 2009 and I will post it here maybe tomorrow if I am not busy.

It's holiday but still I have work to do. I need to work at least 60 hours this week and so far I only reached 20 hours so I still need to work 40 more hours until monday morning. I hope to reach that goal.


We celebrated our New Year peacefully although Gareth is sick because of cold weather and I hope that tomorrow he is okay because we will be attending a New Year Reunion.

It's 3a.m now and it's time for me to sleep.

Uncle Danny

I received a text message today from my Aunt that my tito is in the hospital. At first we thought it is just because of over fatigue but my Uncle told me that it is because of pneumonia. I really upset of this news and I hope he will get well soon. My uncle is staying in CDO and I really wish that I am there to show my support to my cousins and tita.

Happy New Year!!

Let us welcome 2009 with a bang!! We are working the day after Christmas and until today we are still working. We don't have an actual vacation but we can go out anytime we want to but since we are just at home we can't stop it. The work load is so light and I thank my clients for not giving me too much work so we can at least relax and enjoy this holiday.

My mom and siblings are now back in Laguna because it is our tradition to stay in our own home every new year. My youngest sister is staying with us until new year and it is fun because I will be spending more time with her.

New Year's Resolution? well.. i don't know yet... I don't know if i have to post it here or I won't be making any resolution this time.

Well... lately I wanted to see a friend but I don't know where to find that friend anymore. I keep on searching online and even checked friendster but I failed. I don't know but I really miss that person and I hope that I will get a chance to talk to that friend again. I think I will start my year searching for that person.

Anyway, it's a busy week because we will be having our New Year Reunion with my relatives here in Manila. So I will be preparing for food and gifts and we are really looking forward for it. It's been two years since we last saw each other and I am excited for our family updates.

It's a busy week. My family is with us to celebrate Christmas. We opened our gifts together and it was fun. My siblings love what they got. I also received a gift from my sis.

Dec. 25 we decided to visit Greenhills but we watched movie first. Some of us watched Iskul Bukol and some prefer Desperada 2. When we were on our way to Greenhills it was raining so we decided to postpone our trip and went home.

Dec. 26 we were busy cleaning the house and cooking for the house blessing. It was a quick ceremony and the rest of the day we were eating and resting. We had fun..

This weekend we need to work until early Monday morning.

3 Hours Before Christmas

It's now 3 hours before Christmas and everything is now ready. We are waiting for 12a.m to open our gifts and eat our ham. My family is complete and we are having fun. I am so happy.

We cannot attend the simbang gabi because its raining and we decided to attend tomorrow.

I am so grateful for this year for the blessings and I hope it will continue until next year.

My New Fave

My new gladiator sandals. It's an authentic leather and so soft and comfy. It's my new fave aside of havaianas. I've been using havs for 3 years and I think this is the right time to put my havs in rest.

There are different gladiator styles but I am always looking for authentic leather for comfort. I hope I can find a comfy high heeled gladiator soon.

My mother asked me to call her. When I did she was so worried about me. She asked if I am okay.. if I feel better. My sister last night asked the same thing too... I don't know why they keep on asking it to me.

Just lately.... I feel stranged. I don't know how to explain it but I just hope it's just nothing...


The truth is I'm okay... but I feel something different. I don't know but I'm sad but I don't know the reason. I just feel it.

Pray for me... I need it.

Finally..

Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf is now open in Mega Mall. I've been waiting for it because I love the pasta and blended coffee. Though some of the products are not yet available in this outlet because they are still fixing it.

Since it's end of the year, last night we clean our closets. We throw our old papers and receipts. It is always my routine to throw anything useless before the New Year. So I checked my father death certificate and I start missing him again.

It's 5 days before Christmas and my family in Los Banos is coming. I am excited spending Christmas together.

All the gifts are ready as well as our holiday meal... Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

I'm Still Here

I'm still here...

Finally I got a new job and it's full time but I don't know yet if its for long term so while I have the task I have to focus on it.

I have two active full time work right now and I need to work 14 hours a day for me to finish my task on time. I had fun... easy job for now but need much of my time. I might be working until next week so meaning no holidays but of course I still have to go out with my family.. it is just a matter of time management.

Yesterday we went to Shangrila because we are craving for seafood soup. I also bought a new gladiator sandals, I will post picture next time.

After going out... I got hired for my new job.. at least I got a day off. Unpredictable talaga ang buhay ng freelancer. :D

Career Update

I am still looking for additional task and I got some interview invitations but since it's weekend I need to wait until Monday for the results of my application and I hope I'll get a new one soon!

Well, for those of you who knows about PHP or CSS please leave a comment because my client is looking for help but sad to say I don't have any knowledge about those things.

Yesterday, I got a chance of meeting my virtual officemates. The freelancers of Metro Manila. :D We had our Christmas party at Shang and it was great. It's nice meeting new people that we have the same passion and almost the same story. We are planning of meeting at least every month, for us to have a social life at least...

It's so cold here in my place and I am so thankful that I am staying here because I can still enjoy the cool wind and breeze. I simply love it... and it keeps me focus on my work.

Letting Go

I need to let go my full time job due to U.S Financial Crisis. My client business is in it's lowest point so he has no choice but to let me go. It is shocking but I also expect it due to U.S economy crisis. It's sad but I have no choice... I have to let it go and look for a new job.

So I have to stay awake until 5a.m just to distribute my cover letter and resume and I hope that I will receive notice of interview tomorrow.

Well... I don't know if I need to worry but all I wanted to do now is to look for better opportunity. I still have work... but I think I need a new one just to cover up what I just lost.

Cold Thursday

It’s so cold today and all I want is to sleep but I can’t do it because I need to work. I need to keep on thinking the coming holidays so that I can focus on my work. I need to save for the coming holidays and for our trip early next year. I started working as soon as I opened my eyes while my son is playing around me. To keep me awake and focus, I am watching TV and my current favorite is the Lifestyle network. Since I am not really a good cook I love the show and I am now learning. I wanted to buy new kitchen equipments so that I can start baking. I decided to try a new recipe and share it to my husband and he made it and it was perfect. Gareth loves it too. It was great and a comforting meal.

It’s now 12a.m. but through the help of coffee I am still working for my last task for today. We are planning to go home tomorrow in Laguna but I don’t know if we can make it because of the weather. Well… lets see!

Best Candles

I bought Alice Blue Candles last Sunday because I read a lot of good things about the product.

It comes with different scents that will definitely made you relax and suited for every part your home. I bought 3 candles, a berry, peppermint and lemongrass scents. I place it in living area, rest room and master bedroom. I love the scent all over my place. It seems that I am in the spa. I also bought a room vanilla room spray.

The scents last long even if you don't light the candles.
I love it and I don't need to buy those air freshener anymore.

They have website too but I love visiting the store because I can personally smell each items. This time online shopping don't works for me... :D

I just found out it today when I checked PEP. I can't believe it. He is staying in Antipolo pala so near to my place. The cause of his death is still uncomfirm but it might be because of bangungot.

Anyway, during his starstruck days I like the way he dance and voted him too. I watched all his soap and witness how he develop his acting skills.

He's a great loss...

He did it again!! Filipinos are so proud of him and he deserves to win because he really work hard for it.

Today... I become so proud to be a Filipino.

This means more moolah to Pacquiao!! :)

Pepper Lunch Addiction

Me and hubby like Pepper Lunch. We went to Rockwell just to enjoy the yummy dish. :)

I am happy that soon it will be available in Shangrila. Very accessible... and we are so excited for it..

Christmas = Traffic

If you are living in Metro Manila you will definitely experience traffic especially this Christmas season. I hate to go out during this time but I don't have a choice. I need to go out tomorrow but it seems that I am not in the mood of going out because of traffic. Usually it will took me 2 hours before reaching my destination and it is so time consuming.

So if you are planning for completing your Christmas list do it on weekdays to avoid heavy traffic.

Your Baby Can Read

I saw a video tutorial on how to teach our baby to read. It amazed me that a less than a year baby can read. So I checked the video but it's pricey so I checked for other options. My husband finally downloaded the complete set of the video and this time we are excited to share it to Gareth. As we watched it, I realized that I should give more attention to Gareth and guide him all the way to achieve our goal. We wanted him to start reading at the age of 3 and we hope to achieve it.

I am excited to become a teacher now... and I hope that Gareth will participate. whew!

Multitask

When I started my day this morning I received new instruction from my client and he asked me to become his manager and I need to hire 3 providers. So I immediately accepted the task and then I got new hire notice to do SEO work from other client.

It is a blessing that I have this job offer eventhough I thought about the crisis. So I became so busy the whole day hiring and training the new team mates. We have two PC's and a laptop and it really help us do our task without even sacrificing our other task. I use my laptop for my SEO task and the two PC's for graphics and research task.

It's 3a.m but we are not yet done.. we need to work until 5a.m but I don't we can still stay until 5a.m because we are already sleepy.

I wanted to buy gladiator sandals but I don't know when I can have it.. I hope someone can wrap it for me. LOL
I want both designs.

Crisis

I watched news last night and crisis are everywhere. Recession happens not just in third world country but also in U.S. My clients from U.S are now experiencing financial difficulties and so I don't have task right now. Eventhough my client from U.S didn't give me new task my clients from Europe are still giving me task and it really help me a lot. As a freelancer I also feel the crisis so I decided to continue looking for new client.

While the economy is down we really can't do about it but we should need to find ways to survive. This is the right time to develop our skills so that we can work in any different areas. If before I only consider research and data entry job this time I am learning SEO and writing article as well.

Early next year I will be launching a new business and I hope that you will support it.

Relax Monday

Monday, to some it is the busiest day of the week but for me as a freelancer it's a lazy day. In other part of the world it's still Sunday so my clients are resting. They don't usually go online to check emails or sending new task so I took this opportunity to relax by visiting my fave websites.

It's a happy Monday because I have a new client and he also hired my husband as a graphic designer so we are so lucky. Tomorrow we will be busy again to start our new project and I hope to meet our clients needs.

As you can see, I change layout of blog because I don't want a pink layout. Oh well, since I love chocolate and beach so this is the best template for now.. and hopefully I will not change it.
